i do not wish this country to start a war with any country.  we had never initiated a war before Iraq and i hope we never do again.  people of the world do not see us as stronger for having invaded Iraq. they see us as selfish war-mongering bullies.  i hope we do not further confirm this opinion by initiating an attack on Iraq. i do not see there development of nuclear power as provocation.  under such reasoning, every gun-toting person in the USA has potential of killing me and i might as well blow them up now.  we have nuclear weapons. do we want any other sovereignty to tell us we can't have them?  we don't intend to harm anyone.  they should know that because we've never used a bomb before (whoops...forget Hiroshima) and the us never starts wars.  ok, scratch that.  just trust us.  i don't think we should try to impose our will on others, especially since we aren't willing to do what we want to demand of others.    how to stop george walker bush from deciding to play war in Iran??  doubt i can since he stole the presidency and is commander in chief.  i will do my damnedest to keep that lilly-livered congress from funding it.  i think the political climate in this country has changed from the days following 9/11, and i hope my fellow Americans would be so outraged at another bush game that we would gather up in mass and march to dc to kick him out of the white house and strip him of his presidency. he is so delusional I'm not sure he would respond to anything else.

Maybe you should instead be asking if it even makes sense to assume that we are going to attack Iran.

Spreading rumors of this type is popular with those people pushing a partisan political agenda.  However, they have been making these same claims for over 30 years now.

After a while people should just stop listening to people who have never been right!

Hint:  If we were planning on attacking Iran we would not be reducing the number of troops we have in Iraq.

Well firstly, many Americans need to understand Iran better, rather than just dismissing it a base for terrorists/intent on building nuclear weapons.

The USA is also an oil rich country as well, and has some 70 nuclear power plants. So pro-rata, having a quarter of US population Iran would have 18 nuclear power plants. So there's not much logic in that argument.

Secondly, US citizens should be asking where are these reports coming from that suggst Iran is devloping nuclear weapons. It's not coming from the IAEA Weapons Inspectors or the CIA who have both publicly stated there is no evidence.

Thirdly, by having the courage of your convictions. US citizens should voice their concerns to the media and their politicians. By writing. Phoning. Speaking out. America is a country of free speech. The republican party grandees will stop Bush if they believe their long term interests will be damaged.

If Iran is building Nuclear weapons... there is a good reason behind it. ISRAEL has the biggest nuclear arsenal in the middle east. Why no one is bothering Israel about it. Iran believes since Israel has it other nation in middle east should have it for defense or retaliation. If you really want to get rid of nuclear weapons then get rid of Israel ones and then automatically other middle east countries will not have the urge. And second thing the BUSH dint attack Iraq for making the world safer place ... he just finish what is father has started by the way. And till now American dint find nuclear weapons in IRAQ.... So they killed so many people based on a speculation.... This actions only made America the most worst bullying country in the eyes of all the middle east and it also over stretched the American army .
