this is a crock. My wife yes wife has been denied 2 times for a visa to canada. i am in canada working with immigration here and they see no reason for the embassy not to let her go. Im sorry to say this but if it was canadians working in the embassy i dont think i would have this problem. for some reason the egyptian workers there dont want anyone to leave. I am tired of this and will fight this with everything i have. If anyone has any sujestions on what i should do please tell me. Im thinking just to go fly to egypt put her on a plane get to canada and handle this here as i can deal with canadians and not arrogant egyptians that feel they can mess with peoples lifes at the embassy. This is rediculous and something needs to be done about this canadian embassy in egypt.

  1. Canadian visa matters are decided by Canadian officers, not local (Egyptian) staff.  If there is a disconnect, perhaps it is related to non-immigrant vs. immigrant status issues.

  2. I don't know about Canada, but in the United States a visa, tourist or other, is not a right.  It's a privilege.  My guess is that they believe she'll overstay the visa.

You can fly to Egypt, but you'll have no luck putting her on a plane.  Without a proper passport and visa she won't be allowed to board.
