  1. the calendar doesn't have Holiday features, you have to add them in yourself.

To add a holiday to the Calendar in a Yahoo Group, click on Add Event near the upper-right-hand corner after you've clicked on Calendar on the left-hand side of the Group's web page.  Clicking on Add Event like this will take you to a page where you can enter all the information about the event; the fact that it's a holiday would be reflected when you choose the Event Type from the pull-down menu just below where you enter the Title.  After you've finished adjusting those two, continue on down the page filling in all requested information (Location and Notes are optional).  After you've entered all the information about the event, click the Save button towards the lower-left-hand corner (or the Save And Add Another button if you want to add another event).
