  1. Stopping it will take some time as it is now embedded in our culture. There is not enough space here to list the solutions. The basic problem is that politicians are afraid to 'grasp the nettle' for fear of losing votes. They defer to the 'pat on the head brigade'. Some idiot EU politician recently said that Britain was 'demonising young people'.  It seems to me that if they act like demons they should be treated as such.

I believe that in the short term we need informal detention centres set up to break up the gang culture. But much more iimportantly we need to educate kids as early as practical, that violence of any kind is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

  2. why is htis in the category Dining Out?

  3. Zero tolerence - Life imprisonment for murderers - by that I mean until the day they die.

10 years imprisonment for possession of a weapon. This is the only way - the UK Government is pathetic and we're all well peed off with it!!

  4. They can't.

Too many years of do-gooders stopping the police from stopping and searching suspects has caused the problem in my opinion.

  5. IMHO the sentences dished out, not just to teenagers but generally are far too leniant. Life should definately mean life, not these piddly little 2 and 3 year stretches with time off for good behaviour. If they are old enough to use a knife then they should be old enough to deal with the consequences! The trouble is that there are no deterrents anywhere, schools are not "allowed" to punish effectively, parents are too busy working 16 jobs to make ends meet and cannot be there for their kids like they should be, some just cant be bothered! Then theres TV......I am not exactly over the hill and past it, but it doesn't take a brain surgeon to see the effect that TV has on children who are left to view what they like,  and a lot of them are. I also think that TV's in bedrooms is not good, especially for under 16's. And no I am not a prude!! LOL

I dont know the answer but I know that the breakdown of family life is not helping. People just dont seem to care anymore, or maybe they are too frightened and dont know where to start?

  6. KILL ALL TEENAGERS!!!!!!!!

  7. 5 Years for carrying any blade longer than about an inch. Or how about our own Sharia style punishments ? No offense meant to anyone, but maybe instead of cutting off someone's hand we could just glue it to the back of their head ?

  8. If the government and police  and those bewigged, efeminately docile judges, got off their overprotected lazy asses and did what they are elected and paid to do, there wouldn't be a knife or gun problem. Singapore doesn't believe in repeat offenders, maybe we should take note of their solutions. They are practically crime free.!

  9. Its a barbaric solution, but anyone found

guilty of stabbing a person to death

should also be stabbed to death.

    ----------------------------

Just read in my newspaper this morning

a man from Denver, USA was jailed for ten

years for stealing library books and DVDs.

same newspaper, a man is jailed for 4 years for killing

a man after an argument somewhere in scotland (he will no doubt be released early

for good behaviour i.e he probably wont kill anyone in jail)

tell me what the answer is.

I just told you but its too barbaric.

  10. The police need to be allowed to do their job properly and the judges should be allowed to hand out fit and proper sentances to criminals. For certain crimes like murder and violence parole should not be an option when in prison. Bring back capital punishment for pre meditated murder and life should mean life!

To quote an example, locally a man was sentanced to 8 years in prison for attacking a supermarket security guard and making off with £10,000. Sounds a bit harsh, well previously he had done some time for manslaughter, stabbing his father at his home, and was released after a short stint in prison. He is only 27! Why was he allowed back on the streets after killing somebody?
