How can this be more interesting?

to me maths is mind numingly boring so how could i make it more interesting (i'm home educated and i'm 14)

Think of things you can do with math that you don't get to do in the textbooks. Ever wonder how computer games work or how you an make your own computer game? Well, it boils down to math. Ever wonder how people who make animated movies like Ice Age or Flushed Away can get the characters to look right and make their actions match up with the music and the dialogue and stuff? It's all math. Ever wonder how roller coasters are built, how huge buildings are designed, how people can pay bills over the internet without having to do any math in their head, how snack factories can make thousands and thousands of your favorite foods in an hour or so when it takes you that time to make just one batch of cookies? It's all math. Just find ways to use math in your daily life, or learn about all the interesting things people do with math.

Johnyboy - technology and applied science are kind of hard to come by without math.  i_come_from is completely right.

It's like with anything else - you have to learn the basics before you can do the fun stuff.  Robotics, engineering, mechanical things, computer animation and graphics...it's all based on math.  Once you understand the concepts, you can do pretty much anything.
