  1. Play a good role with your team.

Try hard to score the goals for the attention by the coach.

Ask question from the coach to learn more.

Be polite when he scolds you, learn the  mistakes.

    Do not play faults.

Be clean as who you are?

Thank the coach for teaching you in your daily rountine.

  2. try to practice a lot so if u dont hav enough money to go to college u can get a scholarship if ur good enough. And also make sure u listen to ur coaches. they will help u get even better at basketball

  3. Like some of these people have said, its about the work ethic. If you consistently play hard and have a positive attitude, a coach is bound to recognize you. As corny as that sounds it works every time. I am a college basketball player and thats the best advice i think that can be given.

  4. show alot of hustle and help your teammates out on anything they do wrong and show up to practice early and be the last one to leave

  5. Play high grade rep ball try and make a state team and go from there.

  6. use your team and do what the coaches tell you and be a good sport

  7. by playing good, by being most hardworking in the team when it comes to basketball... by taking basket ball almost like a religion!

    all the best

  8. pay attension.....a good coach will want a player who listens to them well...is not too headstrong....and is willing to be shown mistakes....they also pick people who they think are "coach-able" and respond well to other people

  9. First always when the coach asks for a voulenteer go help.  That'll show you are willing to learn.  Second always pay attention.  Third never stop sprinting or stop running.

  10. Wanting to be a basketballer and being recognised by coaches are two separate things. Taking advice from peers your age can be a bit confusing and tends to have a very 'Look at ME', and, 'Where are the TV cameras?' focus.

I've coached nationally and internationally at high school level and also at club championship level If you want to be a basketballer, try these tips:

    1. Keep your mouth SHUT and LISTEN - be humble, be polite

    2. Practice the boring stuff HARD & OFTEN (feet shuffles, jumping, cutting, opposite side dribbles and shots, court running, defensive help)

    3. Be first to training and last to leave (warm up, stretch and cool down stretch)

    4. Practice extra things on your own - challenge yourself (100 foul shots, 100, lay-ups on BOTH sides, 100 jump shots)

    5. Keep your mouth SHUT and LISTEN - be humble, be polite

    6. Pay attention to your school studies

6.1 - Pay attention to your health and well being

    6.2 - Have other interests

    7. Never be afraid to ask for advice and help (just be careful who you ask!)

    7.1 Respect your parent/s

    8. Play in the highest competition you possibly can.

8.1 Don't complain about court time - coaches notice this; use every second on there to your TEAM'S advantage; the better you get, the more time you get according to the TEAM plan and the TEAM balance (notice the word I focus on here?)

8.2 Cheer & encourage your team from the bench - coaches notice this too!

    9. Be aware of your strengths and be HIGHLY AWARE of your weaknesses - work on them against BETTER opponents at practice

9.1 Learn from stronger opponents in a game - watch them carefully; use what works for YOU.

    10. Keep your mouth SHUT and LISTEN - be humble, be polite

    11. Know your limitations, no matter how much your parents brag about how good you are (right or wrong, they have that right - you DON'T!).

    12. Listen ONLY to your coach at training and on game days.

    13. Keep your mouth SHUT and LISTEN - be humble, be polite

Keep this checklist handy, follow it as closely as possible, and believe me, coaches WILL notice you.

    Good Luck

  11. try hard and never give up

  12. hard work and work ethic will grab your coaches attention more than skills.  good coaches want to coach players and if you show him your eager to learn then you certainly will grab his attention.

ask him about how everything you dont understand about and want to learn about.  hustle more, go for every loose ball, just play hard.

  13. send them you photo before you see them, then stand in their face ie until their universally choleric disposition gets the better of them and they drop you with a job to the midriff.

  14. at what level?

youth aau? school team jr high or high? college?

since i don't know what level, I will just tell you work hard at home on dribbling and shooting form. dribble minimum 2 thousand times a day, all basic dribbles and combination and 2 ball dribbles.  if you can handle the ball you should be recognized. look at the nba, which players are the superstars? they can all handle the ball. and of-course always hustle at all times, be a leader also.

  15. have a big mouth and always try your hardest. You need to talk a lot and be REALLY friendly and always compliment the coaches. If you are in HS then its all about politics. By politics I mean whoever the coaches like the most get in, not always whose the best.
