  1. Grade point averages are calculated as follows

    A+ = 4.3

    A = 4.0

    A- = 3.7

    B+ = 3.3

    B= 3.0

    B-= 2.7

    C+ = 2.3

    C=2.0

    C-= 1.7

    D+ = 1.3

    D= 1.0

    D-=.7

    F=0

    In most schools in America, an A is 90%-100%, B is 80%-89%, C is 70%-79%, D is 60%-69%, and F is 59% and below.

    So if you got a 70/100, or 70%, that is a C, and that would be a 2.0. Keep in mind that the Grade Point Average is usually an average based on all of your courses in a given term, such as math, science, history, etc. and is a way to really measure your education's well-roundedness.
