Double click onto My Computer.

Right click once onto Drive C.

Left click once onto Properties.

Left click once onto Tools.

Click onto Error-checking status in the menu box.

To view the hardware devices:

Right click once onto My Computer.

Left click once onto Properties.

Left click once onto Device Manager in order to check what hardware devices are in your computer.

Other options in the menus can be checked out for usefulness.
