  1. Do you mean an email address, or a physical address? And when you say "legitimate", you mean to know that the address is real -- as in there's a house actually there -- or that the person who claims to live there actually lives there.

The best way is to physically investigate it yourself. I hope you haven't gotten an offer for some kind of money transfer from someone claiming to be a widow or orphan or person in need or whatever in Nigeria -- surely you know that all such emails are scams.

  2. Nothing is legitimate in Nigeria. A friend of mine went there 20 years ago to collect the dividends for his services and came back in a coffin. He received "legitimate" letters, facsimile messages and phone calls to "substantiate" the business. It turned out to be a deadly business. Forget that scam and do nothing about it!

  3. If this is something that you received in an email I'd forget about it if I were you.

Just above everything in Nigeria is a scam and very few addresses are legit over there.  Beware.

  4. It's not.  NOTHING is "legitimate" in Nigeria.  Whatever you think you want to do in, near, or around Nigeria, just DON'T.
