How can u get a video that you recorded on a tape to the computer, or converting files or without downloading anything or only having downloading a trusted name?

Depends on the tape.

If its a digital tape, all you need to do is to attach it to the computer with a digital cable, like ieee1394 and just transfer the video verbatim.

If its an analogue tape, then you need a vcr, proc amp, frame sync and a Analogue-to-digital converter.

Like an Canopus ADVC3000 and a PANASONIC AG-7750 if you are doing svhs tape.....or.....you can do DVHS and output it through firewire too...

The framesync is probably the most important in these analogue to digital transfers..
