How can u get my name off a title at dealer

Question

sold car to dealer...dmv still shows me as registered owner of car on title, how do i get the dealer who is non-cooperative to take my name off title, and it gets worse, they sold the car in an auction.

They don't want to register it in their name. It will cost them money. Instead, they're waiting for someone to buy it, then it costs the dealer nothing. Try going directly to DMV with any paperwork you have showing the sale.

You can try to go on-line with your state DMV and find 'release of liability'. This form will ask you who and when you sold the vehicle to.

At least then the state will have this info on record. If the vehicle is sold (retail) in your state, than your name will be taken off the title.
