Question:

How can u tell a difference between a male and female toad?

I have a toad and I was just wondering if it is a female or male. so if you are a froggy kind of person like me, please give me some info about this. Thanks

  2. Yes.The males are usually smaller,and they have darker thumbs and a dark spot on their throat.They also "trill" and will make squeaky noises when you pick them up.

  3. This may sound weird, but it works.

    Pick up the toad with your thumb and index finger by its "waist",  just above the back legs.  If it vibrates, it is a male.  If it doesn't, it is a female.

    Males clasp females this way when mating, and they vibrate to tell other males "I AM NOT A FEMALE".  

    Weird, but true.  Give it a try.

  4. You have to kiss it, if it turns into a handsome prince it's a male. If it doesn't is a female. hope this helps
