  1. if it's only been 2 days you're still healing....after it peels, if the pink and ONLY the pink is still ******, go to your tattooist.

  2. It is highly unlikely that you are allergic to the ink, modern inks are throughly tested for allergies before they are used.

Besides you normally need to have been exposed to something previously and then react upon the second exposure.

The swelling can be due to many things, such as the fact the area covered is greater for the colouring than for the outline, the artist may have overworked the area slightly, you may have a mild infection, etc.

The bumps could be small spots forming under the skin if the ink has clogged the pores.

This reaction does not instantly mean you are allergic!

I found this information on ink allergy if it helps:

    [edit] Allergic reactions

Perhaps due to the mechanism whereby the skin's immune system encapsulates pigment particles in fibrous tissue, tattoo inks have been described as "remarkably nonreactive histologically".[8]

Allergic reactions to tattoo pigments are uncommon except for certain brands of red and green. People who are sensitive or allergic to certain metals may react to pigments in the skin with swelling and/or itching, and/or oozing of clear fluid called serum. Such reactions are quite rare, however, and some artists will recommend performing a test patch.

For those who are allergic to latex, many artists are using non-latex or will use non-latex gloves if asked.

There is also a small risk of anaphylactic shock (hypersensitive reaction) in those who are susceptible, but the chance of a health risk is small.

Due to the fact that laser removal of tattoo ink causes a release of ink into the bloodstream the risk of anaphylactic shock is also present during removal.[17]
