  1. IT CAN'T= GLOBAL WARMING IS'NT CAUSED BY MAN OR ANYTHING MAN HAS.

  2. Using less hot water would have no impact on so-called 'Global Warming' whatsoever.

The theory behind this farce is based on the assumption that the consumption of fossil fuels is the cause for increased global temperatures by the production of CO2 gas which is considered by a vocal minority to be a 'Greenhouse Gas'.

Since it requires energy to heat the water, and most power production is still based on the use of fossil fuels, the more energy you use, the more CO2 emissions that will be produced.

    The facts are:

    1) CO2 is not a 'Greenhouse Gas'.

    2) Global weather and climate are controlled mainly by the Sun's radiation and earth's orbit.

    3) The earth has been in a general warming trend for at least the last 15,000 years.

    4) The earth's surface temperature has not increased in the last 10 years.(Even though fossil fuel consumption is still increasing).

    5) Once a power plant is 'up and running', it is consuming the fuel at a nearly constant rate, whether it is at full load or no load.

The reason for this is that steam turbines need to keep running to produce the required energy when it is called for.

Every electrical energy production facility would be most efficient and have lowest running costs if they were running at peak production all of the time.

The list could go on, but I hope you can see the points.

I would say to everyone to conserve as much and recycle as much as they can.

Try to use your energy wisely and don't waste it.

This is not to 'save the planet' but it will reduce your expenses.

I detest any type of waste.

I also detest arrogance, stupidity, selfishness, greed and thieves.(that pretty much sums up most politicians, but currently places Al Gore at the top of the list).

  3. Global warming is a hoax.

You can reduce your costs by reducing your hot water use. Take faster showers with a water saving shower head. Wash clothes in cold water. I wash all my clothes in cold water.

Be mindful of how you use your water.

  4. It can't.  The belief is since heating the water consumes energy, the use must cause the world to warm.  However you are too small compared to the climate to make any difference one way or the other.

  5. Takes no energy to use cold water and once you get used to it it is no big thing, they did it before hot water!

  6. It takes energy to heat up the water in our hot water tanks.  Most of the energy coming into our homes comes from power plants that generate greenhouse gases.  So the more energy we use (hot water, lights, or any other form) the more greenhouse gases the power generation plants produce.

    Edit:

Cliff F. - You said: "CO2 is not a 'Greenhouse Gas'." That statement contradicts over 100 years of well established physics and unless you have a heck of a good link to scientific evidence that supports your claim, I'll just assume that you are badly misinformed.
