  1. If the vegitarian just became a vegitarian or if they eat a lot of junk food..

  2. i have a question for anyone who will answer it for me,im a vegtearian&&i want to eat a lot of protein that isn't fat or else i will have to stop being a vegetarian because im losing hair&&getting sick.

&&if i do stop being one how do i easily put chicken back in my diet without gaining weight?

    HELP PLEASEEE.

  3. Just because you are vegetarian, doesn't mean you eat a healthy well-balanced diet. There are many forms of veg junk food available and you are what you eat.

  4. Vegetarians can eat junk food, though a narrower range of it. And because vegetarians have to eat a greater bulk of food, there is an increased tendency to snack between meals. For some people that can be a trap to getting fat.

Nuts, for instance, are quite oily and have plenty of calories. So do all sorts of sweets.

  5. Fritos, corn chips and cookies are fattening and vegetarian.  Eating vegetarian doesn't automatically mean eating smart.  Extra calories are stored as fat no matter where they come from.

  6. They still eat fish products

  7. I'm a vegetarian and I got fatter by coming one!  When I was a meat eater meat was blocking my arteries.  Doctors couldn't figure out why I couldn't gain weight when I was meat eater!  When I became vegetarian I suddenly started losing weight! Doctors were surprised and I told them I became vegetarian.  They concluded that meat was the culprit kept me from gaining weight! They must be right!  I ate plenty of veggies and fruits!  I remain a vegetarian!

  8. Some vegetarians pile up on bread and they over-do dessert. They eat vegetables and COOKIES, and PIE, and CAKE, and COOKIES... it can be terribly limiting to be a veggie.. i love red meat and won't give it up completely...

but yep... my sister could not lose any weight cuz she didn't know what else to eat..

she recently turned pescitarian... and ate her first piece of shrimp a few weeks ago...

  9. People gain weight when they eat more calories than they burn.  Period.  You can eat too much of even healthy foods.  This is a very basic concept.

And vegetarian is not synonymous with healthy when it comes to specific foods.  Ice cream and potato chips are vegetarian, but they're fat-laden and unhealthy.

Your latin is a bit rusty, dude.  And the slam towards people with Downs Syndrome was totally unnecessary.

  10. Same reasons there are so many fat fatty non-vegetarians.

  11. Of course you can eat vegetarian food and still be fat........it depends on your food choices.

I know a couple of overweight vegetarians and they don't eat any fruit and vegetables. Instead they consume a lot of coke, diet coke, hot chips, processed foods, crisps, pasta, full fat dairy, sweeties, biscuits, junk food, etc...

My overweight friend is a vegetarian - her idea of a healthy meal is a cheese and hot chip sandwich or cheese lasagna. Her idea of exercise is walking to the coke machine and back.

Same reason why non-vegetarians are fat - poor food choices and lack of exercise.

I have never met an overweight vegan or raw vegan though.

    .

  12. Well, if you sit around and don;t exercise, and if you eat a lot of sugar and fatty things like cheese, you can still put on th weight. And then some people's metabolism is off and their body is in constant fattening-up-for-winter mode regardless of what they eat.

  13. My cousin is a vegetarian and she's sort of overweight, she enjoys foods like french fries and donuts - being a vegetarian doesn't necessarily mean that people are healthy.

  14. well, they may fry every vegetable they get thier hands on...or some ppl are just born big

  15. Sure they eat vegetables. They don't eat meat or anything that comes from meat. They can still eat a whole lot of fat. Think of all the different kinds of fats there are. Not all come from animals. Too much fat intake and calories and not enough exercise equals excess body fat.

  16. Junk food, carbs (pasta's)

  17. A lot of vegetarians rely on dairy products to "replace" meat in their diets. That's a problem. Eating a correct vegetarian diet (lots of beans, grains, fruits, and vegetables, and only a tiny bit of dairy...and not a lot of chips and other vegetarian junk food) will usually fix the weight problem.
