Day after day on this board and others the issues of feminism vs. masculism abound. There are questions upon questions trying to point out the inherent divide between men’s and women's rights. This isn't an open invitation to rant, but an honest inquiry into how you would solve those inequalities. I don't want to limit what issues you discuss, so I'm purposely not being specific, but please, let's keep the discussion relevant to modern society.

  1. As a woman, I can say that the modern feminist movement is one of the biggest problems. Equality is based off of mutual respect, and also recognizing that although there are gender differences, people can break those molds. I think feminism alienates men, and when they try to be nice and respectful (ie open doors) some crazy feminists will ***** out. I think that the best way to achieve equality is to teach people how to respect and work with others from the opposite gender. Men and women do things differently and think differently, but by having them see the benefits of different perspectives, they will learn to respect the other gender.

  2. I don't know but a good way to improve this board is not having so many abortion questions up because you can only ask a question so many times.

  3. Feminism is not about equality, but about gaining advantages for a certain group of women only, the movement is hateful against all men.

Without feminism today we would be closer to equality.

  4. Why would we need to make things more "equal" between men and women ? Equality is about communism, communism doesnt work. We need to get out of feminism back into a society of fierce competition and achievments.

TIME TO END YOUR HIPPY DREAMS.

  5. 1. paid parental leave for both men and women - with maybe a clause in there specifying that part of the payment is specifically for Dads.

    2. well thought out apprenticship training programmes which deal with all the problems that we still haven't solved after thirty years of trying

3.continuing training for judges and magistrates about how thoughtful  they have to be about rape trials

    4. its not just gender but its the way that gender.class and racism are still operating - remember Dubois 'double consciousness' ?  Well we need to up it to triple consciousness by asking the women who are doing the hardest work for the lowest rewards what they think - they are the ones with the wisdom

  6. As a woman, I do not think that feminism is helping our plight at all. I honestly think that saying if a guy holds the door open for me then he is sexist is absolutely ridiculous. If everyone wants to be equal, then what we all need to learn is respect for each other.  Biting someone's head off for being nice is working to further make things equal.

  7. I believe that hollywood and media plays a big part in how people perceive things(except me, I'm very logical a no nonsense gal).

I believe that the media and Hollywood should put more emphasis on strong men and strong women, showing more of how equal we are.  Or something.

  8. Eliminate feminist ideology.
