We are in debt $10 and growing- no one has realy done any thing to pay the debt off. The surpluss of the 1990's was smoke and mirrors so no one tried to pay it off then. So why create an other program when we can't pay for what we already have?

  1. Think of all the money we are already paying to medical insurance companies. The money would mostly be coming out of this, only the payments would be going to a different entity. Also, payment into the system would be complusory (probably based upon income) for all citizens.

Universal health care works- greedy insurance and pharmaceutical companies, as well as the uninsured are what breaks down our health care system.

  2. Anyone that gets a paycheck will have much more money deducted from their paychecks.

Wouldn't it be better for the medical industry to cut costs and the insurance be more competitive, like being able to get insurance in any state verses just the one you live in.  Have you ever seen a poor pharmaceutical or Insurance Co.

  3. How can we afford to keep on fighting wars?

  4. Forget the massive tax increases.... rationed healthcare would be the result.  That (for one) should be of greater concern.

  5. Massive taxes on the masses. Obama says he'll give the rich the highest taxes and the poorest the lowest taxes yet in the end everyone will recieve outrageous taxation for these programs and I thought this country was founded because our fore-fathers didn't like unfair taxation.
