Only if you have a VoIP service Softphone installed on your PC.

I do it with services like CallCentric and InPhonex.  They have free downloadable softphones.  If you have a phone number through one of those services and their sofpthone installed on your PC, you can pick-up the call from your PC.

And, you could also use PC based VoIP services like Skype or Gizmo5.

You computer is not a caller id box... However, if you have a dial up modem in it and that is connected to the phone line, you may have basic caller id functionality... You will need a program to run in the background which will read and display the caller id info though.

You can use the computer speaker and a microphone and a program like Skype to get VOIP (voice over IP).
