Corporations, with their global properties, and boards filled with people of all nationalities, have no real allegiance to America or its citizens, do they?

Unfortunately, it is QUITE apparent that they have no real passion for ethics.

I'm not bashing corporations (I understand that that's immoral, and may soon be illegal), I'm just questioning where their allegiances lie.

NOTE: Not a liberal. NEVER supported a Democrat.

  1. Well, I would challenge the idea that corporations are supposed to have "our best interests in mind." That is NOT the purpose of corporations. They first and foremost exist to fill a need in the community that leads to them making money.

The by-product of that plain and simple capitalistic purpose is that people must be employed to accomplish that mission (whatever it is). By being employed people receive a fair wage (if it isn't fair, the good ones move on and the corporation does not succeed). The employees can then use that money to achieve whatever their goals in life are, rise through the ranks of the corporation... or build a resume that allows them to move on to grow somewhere else. THAT is what is in the best interest of the people... and the role that corporations have in that process.

  2. We cannot and they do not. Period, end of story!

  3. they have no allegiance to america but the need the us consumer, i say companies start negative advertising.  (EX of Budweiser commercial),  Coors pollutes rivers and steals water from children....

  4. "I'm just questioning where their allegiances lie"

If I may quote you... The Corporations "allegiances" lie with profit, not with U.S. people. Don't blame corporations, blame the U.S. government for not imposing proper tariffs and trade laws.

If you were the Cheif of Procter and Gamble, a $194 Billion  company, what would you do if imports were cheap and exports were expensive?
