How can we change our chennai to clean and green?

I live in US and the major reason why its clean is that there are plenty of workers for the county/State who are paid to clean the places...You can see lots of people cleaning most of the time..

So We need more funds for the local government authorities to appoint more labourers to clean chennai.

But the other main reason is the Vehicle pollution. We need to make tajor steps to clean the Vehicle pollution.

Another major reason for US being so clean in many places(believe me there are unclean places) is that they grow grasses in all the places..They will cover all the places that are sand with grasses. The sand area is the main reason why the place becomes dirty. If we cover the sand area with grasses then there will be less dirt and so chennai will be more clean. Then again to put grasses in those places and to water them regularly and maintain them, it costs  a lot and again local government authorities need more money.

So the root is Money and even if we have money then again we need good government authorities to implement those plans...So its tough..

But I believe, in 10-20 years, Chennai will be more cleaner as I predict more inflow of cash and so even after corrupt politicians taking a lot into their pockets there will be some money left to spend to make chennai beautiful and clean.(Atleast lets hope so...)

I think that's impossible! Until couple societies get together to work on this project! This will help you to make environment clean and green around u . But still you can't make whole Chennai clean and green.

But that's just my opinion. I hope this helps!!

Get your act together and start doing your bit rather then waiting for everyone else to do theirs. Plant some trees, dont spit outside, dont litter, pick up rubbish and recycle.
