We are electing the President of the US. The system has put forth its hand picked cronies for us to vote for. The very people who created the problems, who have no idea how to correct. I am tired as h**l and I am not going to take it any more. Are we sheep?

  1. Well actually, yes. We are like sheep - at least in this country.  Its been a long time in coming but its actually arrived. 1984 and "Brave New World" is really here.

But who is it that has this vision you speak of ?

  2. I always tell people that whatever president is in office gets the blame or credit for what happens in our country even if he isn't responsible for it.  That is the ignorance of our society these days when it comes to government.

The president has very little to do with the economy.  The economy is impacted more by what goes on in Congress then what goes on in the White House.  Even the successful stimulus bill that President Bush signed had to pass through Congress first.

The economy is actually doing quite well, despite what ABC, NBC, CBS, and CNN are reporting about.  We are in a bit of recession but that is natural after coming out a period of plenty during the Clinton years.  (And no... Bill Clinton had very little to do with the economy.  Despite Bill Clinton's incompetence, the economy stayed strong.)  This recession will eventually end, and we will be back into an era of plenty.  And the misinformed, ignorant, and liberal media brainwashed will once again place the blame or credit for it squarely on the shoulders of the President.

  3. You are right and anyone who tells you otherwise is just lying. If our economy was so good then why is our dollar's value so low.  Even the Canadian dollar was higher than ours.  Other nations don't even want to use dollars anymore.  The Peso is catching up to our dollar by 5 to 1.  People are loosing their homes.  Petro (gas) prices have gone through the roof.  We are sleep because the media has said everything is OK, and we believe them.

  4. Everything is corrupt when dealing with man. No way around it.

  5. Well no ****, but they are hoping that we don't ask that question yet. "Are we sheep?" Its one of the questions that stirs up the brain and the conscious, and kinda makes you wanna you reflect on yourself. Keep in mind all three of those would be illegal if they found the perfect way to suppress it. Its the only upper hand they actually have, and the perfect tool, that would be the power over the weak and stupid.

  6. Focus on the down-ticket races.  Ron Paul was defeated in the primaries, but in many districts, Ron Paul Republicans are running for Congress (I believe there is a Ron Paul Democrat running for Senate in one of the deep south states).

Where that is not an option, as the Democrats and Republicans are both libertarian-leaning on half the issues and anti-libertarian-leaning on half the issues, but so-called "moderates" are anti-libertarian-leaning on almost everything.  By voting out the Bush Dog Democrats and the RINOs, we will bring down the worst members of Congress and replace them with less-bad members.

At the state and (especially) local level, races can be won by any party (with the exception of governor and other executive offices).

As for president, I believe a case can be made for voting for any candidate other than McCain (we don't need McCain clogging the White House, preventing Ron Paul from running in 2012).

America's libertarians need to be the swing vote again in 2008 as we were in 2006 when we helped put the Democrats in power.  If this country is to become a free and prosperous country again, the so-called "center" (meaning the viewpoint of the totalitarians in the M$M) must be rejected.

In 2012, we will need to come back stronger and deliver the Republican Party and the nomination to Ron Paul.  Therefore, our strategy at the moment needs to take the road that lies ahead into consideration.

  7. i have a vision we  the people allow the government to continually   mess our country up and  all we do is just complain  untill we the people decide to unite and to make a stand  and force  a change for the better of mankind and it will get worse we already have our own people not getting  enough pay, to cover all the basic bills we acquire and  the stress  level of our  people  has created allot of  drug and alchol abuse ,more negativity among our self's and less unity  and more murders, robbery   etc..... were is the back  bone , of our people they say don't speak out  they will kill you or you will get fired  well you can have all that happen even if you don't speak out  so i agree we have become sheep we are waiting for the master to lead us but it takes all the people to lead the people

  8. The economy is far too complex for it to be "controlled" by one man (the president) or even 535 men and women (congress).

When the economy is controlled by powerful people, the economy is destroyed. This is how communists operate.  Centrally planned economies are c**p.

If you are pinning your economic hopes and dreams on elected politicians (even if it's your favorite candidate), you are sadly midguided and not very informed.

I want the government to do what it has to to keep markets free and efficient, but it's not their job to write laws left and right to appease a few stupid voters who don't know anything about economics.

  9. Actually, the president has far less to do with economic success and failure than Congress. Have you ever heard of the "power of the purse?"

You are over reacting. Our economic structure is sound, we are just going through an adjustment period.

  10. Yes, we are sheep. It's best not to think about it.

"Political power comes from the barrel of a gun" (in other words, all the banners, petitions, blogs and coffee-shop discussions won't change a d**n thing...especially with so many people enmeshed in this system).

You can't reason with sheep, but a well-placed explosion can scare the h**l outve 'em >D
