How can we commute from Miinepolis, Minnesota to NDSU, Fargo, North Dakota?

Someone was telling me that it is 3-3.5 hrs drive. But is there public transport available? I have heard that there r ppl who live in Minnepolis,MN and go to NDSU daily. so how do they commute?
