  1. Maggie P has given many useful suggestions in her comprehensive answer ,going through the list I find that I follow most except the solar panel & windmill. The monsoon is our only source of rain water here in India ,most enviormentally aware individuals do all they can to store this water & use when needed for the household, garden & pets. Each house is encouraged to divert run off from the rooftop to a pit where water collects & then seeps into the ground recharging the underground water & results are seen in a better supply of water when  the underground water is pumped  up for domestic use.

  2. There is no problem ,most of us do conserve or we would not be able to pay the bill. Why are u selling this as I think it will be on your back to pay for it. It is a scam so the gov. can tax u more. Gore is afraid u will use up all the air plane fuel . But U can walk he is making money with this hype.

  3. Conserve energy: Drive at 55mph. The tires don't do all of the extra/unneeded spinning at 55 like they do at faster speeds.

Friendly environment: Take/use public transportation as often as you can. Car pool, ride a bike if you work under a mile from work. Consider buying a Hybrid using electric/gas engine. (I'd wait on that one until the price comes down a bit, but it's something I've considered).

  4. Use both sides of toilet paper.

  5. We can't we need to find better energy source.  I suggest a Dyson Sphere

  6. buy a suv& travel

  7. I started a compost pile to take care of grass clippings and other compostable things-potato or carrot peelings or anything that could go down the garbage disposal except meat products; then buy things in glass which can be washed and reused, rather than plastics which need to be chopped up and melted down to be safe to reuse.  Then go through your house, can you shut off lights, turn down the thermostat when you are gone in the winter and up in the summer, add a bottle of water to your toilet tank to conserve water usage, don't run the water while brushing your teeth, add a solar panel to the roof of your house-provided it is free standing and you are the owner. Do you live where you could add a windmill to your landscape-Not one of those gigantic things like on the plains, but a small one that could generate electricity for you-then store it up.  Walk more, ride a bike. There are lots of things you can do!
