Laf, why all the worry ? Man-kind has been "reshaping" the planet to suit his needs for ages. Even if it is to develope, improve or create any kind of an ecosystem, we would have to change what appears in nature.

Is that any different than building a city ? Making roads for vehicles to travel on ? building a house on a plot of land or even digging holes in land and filling it full of garbage.....or caskets.....

We've been reshaping and utilizing land in various ways which all change the nature of the enviroment.
