  1. All chelonians have eyelids. In the US, they are all called turtles. In the UK, they are all called tortoises. Strictly speaking, tortoises are land chelonians and have clublike feet and (mostly) high-domed shells. Turtles are marine and have oar-like flippers. Terrapins (and other freshwater chelonians) have more rounded, paddle-like feet.

Food depends more on size than species, although species plays a larger role when the animals are adult. Generally speaking, juveniles are strict carnivores. As they get older, most of them develop a taste for vegetables, such as the dark green leafy ones.

  2. the feet.  turtles have fin looking things and tortis have feet looking things

  3. that im not sure of, I know one gets much larger.

  4. All turtles and tortoises have eyelids, and not all tortoises eat the same thing, and not all turtles eat the same thing- but most tortoises eat mostly plants, and most turtles eat mostly bugs and meat.

'Turtle' is a term used for all shelled reptiles, while 'tortoise' is a term used for one group of turtles- the true tortoises. True tortoises have elephant-like hind feed. They also do not eat, hunt, or mate in the water like turtles do.

'Tortoise' is also a term used for land-dwelling turtles- the true tortoises and things like the American Box Turtles.
