How can we dis join or separate the iron and the gold if they are melted together?

If both are in melt state they would be immiscible hence drain out gold first from bottom as being heavier it would remain at bottom and iron would float on top of it due to  high density contrast.

Although this is a shot in the dark, I would think you may crush the block of gold and iron then chemicaly remove the iron leaving you the pure gold powder.

I bet you could melt them down and place the solution close to a magnet, the iron should get drawn to the magnet and the gold is left behind.
