Unless there is an ant colony actually in your home, then the reason they are there is because something yummy is drawing them there, so be aggressive in cleaning up after yourself and your family. If you want to eliminate them immediately use a bug spray or something, keep children and pets away at that time.

Go to the local 99 cents store, or even hardware store, and ask

for ant chalk. This product is so easy to use as you just draw lines

with it that ants will not cross.If you can not find any, then try drawing

lines with regular chalk, as I have heard that works well too. The ants will not cross the lines.

If you try following the ant line and find where the nest and colony is,

pour boiling water on it. Also you can mix 2-3 lemons with water and

spray the outside.

The number one thing is clean as best you can, all around the house

as to eliminate the reason for their visit! and, good luck!

We have had the same problem for years. As others have stated, be sure to clean as best as you can.

We've tried sprays and everything, but the thing that I think has especially worked. I'm sorry I forgot the name, but I can describe it for you. Pretty much it's a small black square that you can fit in the palm of your hand, and on top is a small elevated circle, with for slits for the ants to walk in and out of. Basically, the ants think it's food, so they go inside and leave to take the food to the queen. But in actuality it has some sort of poison in it, so the queen dies, and so do the workers. Trust me, once you put it down somewhere that the ants go, more and more will come like crazy, and you won't have a problem for much longer.

We bought it at Home Deopt. I think it comes with four in a pack. Hope you find a solution to your problem!
