How can we find out who is tampering with our databases?

l help moderate an adult orientated yahoo adult group.

Lately we have had an ******** changing entries and adding foul and derogatory remarks in several databases.

We would like too find out who this person or persons are so that we can deal with them.

Yahoo has been no help with this problem and we cannot locate anywhere in the groups management area to track or trace these arseholes.

Hopefully someone out there can put us onto someone or a site that might be able to help us.

Thank you in advance.

  2. make it so only mods do it.

or close it up so one uses it

  3. I agree with Cami about how hackers can wreack havoc with group's files, databases, etc.

Try changing your Database access to where members can only view data:

Go to Management. Underneath Group Settings -select Web Tools. Click Edit to the right of Web Tools. Scroll down to Database and select Limited (members can view data; moderators can create/modify/delete tables). Make sure to click Save Changes on bottom or right side of page.

After making the above change and the problem stops, great!  If the problem continues, then you will know you have a screwball hacking into your group.  Paul, I don't have a solution or referral other than what Cami has already stated she was doing.

  4. I do not believe the activity logs will even tell you this info on who the person was. I believe it'll only show who created a database.

if you have this open to members, you'll be subjected to this sort of thing, sorry
