We have some type of insect in our cloth couch that is giving us small, itchy bites like a small moquito bite. We have not seen the culprit, but assume it is fleas or something similar. How can we get rid of this pest without also being exposed to poison like Raid- one of sleeps on the couch. Thanks!

  1. there is an enviromentally safe spray that you can spray it, leave for about 12 hours, vacuume the couch and put a sheet on it. If it is fleas you will have them not just on your couch they will be everywhere! So i would use the spray for the house! How to tell if its fleas: Leave a lamp on the floor without the shade and a low bowl of water with a little dishsoap in it. L:eave overnight and if there are dead tiny black bugs in it (and they are TINY) then it is fleas!

  2. I would take it outside.  Take a plastic tarp and make a tent over it.  Make it as air tight as possible and set a bug bomb off under the tent.

  3. Try sprinkling the couch thoroughly with Borax, waiting at least 20 minutes, then vacuuming. Do the same to the carpet so the little pests won't have anywhere to hide.

    Good luck!

  4. could be bed bugs which are hard to get rid of. However if they are fleas buy a can of rebound! Get the family and pets out the the house for 2 hrs. Its safe to spray even on furniture

  5. there are called bed bugs the live in beds couches ext i don't know  how to get rid of them if it is bed bugs the bites will sort of look like cold sours
