How can we get rid of mice without giving away our pets?

We have 2 pet gerbils and a bunny. And we have a mouse problem. We bought "Riddex" a thing you plug in and it's supose to take care of your problem. But it says: does not bother pets except - hamsters gerbils and bunnys. Anyone know how I can keep my pets and get rid of the mice? By the way we have already tried: traps cats and more traps. We love our pets dearly! Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

don't listen to the post above me! glue traps are cruel, and if any of your pets escape and get stuck in it, its a painful death. ok crazy pregnant lady, how do you think that poor terrified rat felt in the trap "o poor pregnant me i was soo scared"! get a humane mouse trap from peta.com, or let your pets stay with someone else and use the riddex until your problem is solved.

You can stay with someone else for a while and plug in that thing. Then get an exterminator to seal your house so they can not get back in and unplug the rid ex.

You said you tried mouse traps, and they didn't work? Or you haven't tried them?

We're currently dealing with a bit of a mouse problem ourselves.. ugh.. and the little 4 pack mouse traps from Home Depot have solved at least 6 of our mouse guests.

(My cat solved the first mouse and was what alerted us to their presence in the first place).

Stay with a friend or something for the day (or how long it takes to get rid of the mice) and bring your pets with you.

ok, when me and my ex lived in the city we had a rat promblem, and i was pregnent at the time, so, he got this instant pad stuff, , you haved to get it at your local hardware dept carries it, its a sticky pad thats a square and its full of poision, you get 10 squares in each package, place each one square in each corner and he put maybe like a piece of cheese down on the pad, and i heard squeallling alot, once the rat gets on that mat or pad, they cant get off and they die instantly, but you will hear alot of squealing, and beleive you me i was so petrified when i was pregnent and alone in my apt, and heard a bunch of mouse squealing, but it worked
