An employer want best out of their empolyees and managers .So what do you think are the challanges faced by todays employers in identifying,retaining ,training and extracting the best out of their managers..specially the future managers?

  1. I do surveys with my employees & their managers to determine what skills they need to be better employees.  I also hold professional growth meetings for managers & employees focusing on things such as time management, stress, professional etiquette, communication, etc.  I also send out a motivational saying everyday by email.

    Bonuses for a job well done is used quite often for this

  4. The best thing a corporation can do is get rid of 80% of their managers and invest more in their employees.  Most corporations are bloated with management who usually make decisions for their benefit and not the benefit of the company or the employee.

    Japan's Toyota corporation is an example of a successful management paradigm, or it was until they started moving to the United States.  

    The United States by the way has the worst management to employee structure in the world.  On any given construction sight you will have 3 people watching and pointing and 1 person doing the work.
