How can we get the government to aknowledge global warming when?

On some levels the government does acknowledge it, and always has.  The current Administration launched several anti-science initiatives including the one against effort to control the contribution of industrial CO2 to warming.  Mainly the White House aides edited key scientific reports that we as taxpayers paid for.  In other words, they stole from us.  When Bush said he was wrong in calling AGW unproven he had already set up the "Heartland" group to dispute IPCC.  You won't find a single reputable scientist on it, but they add to the disinformation pool.  Condaleeza Rice made many speeches last year raising alarm as to the seriousness of human caused Global Warming and the need for immediate action.  Unfortunately she said the same thing about WMD in Iraq, so her opinion is not worth any more than Bush's.

We are coming up on two centuries of scientific study of the anthropogenic global warming issue.  We have all of that accumulated data.  Despite the political roadblocks thrown up by the executive branch (like requiring the EPA to "stand down" from its mission) the scientists have continued to collect data, which is most of what scientists do.  After Bush's policy reversal last year it is no longer a hanging offense to publically discuss global warming (at least officially) so a few policy recommendations have seen the light of day.  I don't see anything that won't right itself when another Administration takes office, regardless of who  they are.  As long as there is no break in the data science will be OK.  The sad and ironic part is that Bush took this stance originally to pander to the fundamentalist  Christians, who are now somewhat horrified at the Stalinist reduction of science policy to a barely medieval level.

How do we know that the 'Man-did-it' global warming club hasn't twisted/distorted the truth?  Afterall....it IS a fact that a vast amount of the data used to develop the 'Man-did-it' theory is flawed.

The government already acknowledges a global warming trend, but the problem is convincing the normal man.  Environmental scientists can only supply us with facts that are more like maybes, apocolyptic visions of the future, and data that conflicts with other data even amongst themselves.  The normal man won't listen to maybes or when they do listen they will take the maybe as an absolute and become an eco-fanatic.  I have done my research and several scientists in the past have been proven to alter data and formulas aka hockey stick curve.  The environmental movement is mired by the image it gives people.  Its like a corrupt religion that is crushing decenting views even within itself.  Many of them don't even care about the science and go for profit.  What people need is true science where we focus on collecting real data, comparing it to past, identifying the problem, and logically coming up with a solution to better mankind rather than gaining power and wealth to enforce your will upon people without anything but the words "I am telling you to or else."  That would be tyranny.

But their concern is not for the well being of the masses.

they are more interested in mass control.

Any 'Global catastrophe', as you refer to it, will not be due to mankind's actions!

At least not due to so-called 'global warming'.

I suspect that you are rather young and (as I was when I was younger), rather arrogant.

The really funny thing is that as I grew older, I started to realize that my father had transformed from an idiot into a rather wise man!

I know now that this was not because my father had grown so much wiser in a few short years, but that he had the experience and background as a foundation for me to learn from! (which I started to appreciate)

Although he and I can still (agree to disagree) on some subjects, I was able to learn much from him and other so-called 'old-timers!

Do not place your faith in unfounded and nonscientific theories, or media coverage, but on actual science!

The gvmt has acknowledged global warming.  And they created hundreds of gvmt programs that funnel tax dollars to corporations because of the scare.

Anything from having the gvmt buy wind turbines for big power corporations, to making incandescent light bulbs illegal to giving subsidizes to coal are all part of gvmts global warming programs.

Global warming is huge business, and trillions of tax dollars are being used to fight this war on carbon.

Some government's have had a meeting about global warming I think its called Kyoto.

So of the countries that did attend now have people working in areas that need attention.

The big pollution companies are not gonna listen until their private island floods. but there is one way that they are not seeing, if they do eco-friendly products they will save money and make more of a profit. these rich people dont deserve to be rich.

Wake up?  Or panic?  Which do you want?  Are you willing to follow through with your own proposals and reduce the carbon emissions that you claim are the cause of the global warming?  Will you quit driving your car, heating and cooling your home alternately with the change in seasons?  When will you stop all the conveniences that are a vital part of your life?
