While choosing a life partner, I observe, eligible candidates having complaints later on - act in quite immature manner. Most of them don't know what they want; and what they pretend to want and go for it, fail to honour their own decisions / commitments in the time to come, and start blaming exterior factors/persons. They get illusioned and influenced by superficial things and repent when the fake day  dreams get over.

For a successful selection, have a cool and balanced head on your shoulders. See what you are yourself, go for what you deserve (may be a little less; without overestimating yourself). Give just due weightage to looks and outward exhibiting features, explore and assess the self developed qualities of the person concerned (other than the God gifted things). For your own, cultivate, develop and mature the quality of being practical, tactful in handling human relations and ability to 'allow' and 'avail' the space for each of the spouse for being oneself yet an integral part of the family unit. If possible stay financially independent always.
