  1. here r a few ways on saving da bees- spray dil. mixture of formic acid and water on da honey bees to get rid of some parasitic and fungal disease, also try 2 get rid of da exotic varieties of bees like african bees which competetively outwit da indigenous ones and try 2 plant more flowering plants in da locality!   ---------- from dj_cool  india!

  2. honey bees suck the fructose present in the sweetest flowers and making the Queen bee to admire those flowers cause all the bees to gather around the flower

  3. Don't kill them first of all.  Also, plant flowers that they like in your backyard and avoid using bug sprays and fly tapes to trap insects because it can catch them too.

  4. You can start by not getting food that has been sprayed by pesticides. These can be harmful to bees and other insects.  Or look for fruits and vegetables that have been sprayed with safe alternative, organic sprays.

  5. i assume you are talking about CCD or colony collapse disorder in honey bees.. this is sweeping major portions of america and starting to show in europe also..

a pretty good wiki article is here

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colony_Coll...

what can you do?? not fall for hype...

people are blaming cell phones; african honey bees; global warming; etc..

the fact is no one knows for certain exactly what is causing ccd they only know the symptoms which is a sudden disappearance of all or most of the worker bees leaving a queen and a few young and drones but not enough to support the hive... also that the normal predation on the honey that SHOULD occur takes a VERY long time to happen.

until / unless some one figures out the root cause of CCD really all you can do is find a group funding the studies and contribute to them...

and yes it is a huge problem for fertilization of plants throughout the US/Europe.

  6. maybe breed more of them but experts doesnt know why bees are dissapearing

  7. i heard about that too!  bees annoy me, but they're really necessary for many of the fruits and other foods we eat today! imagine a world without all that pollination! i will watch this question! http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...
