How can we keep India cleen? ?

1)We've to increase fines for littering.

2)We've to educate illiterates about the need to throw wastes in garbage or trash can.

3)We've to even tell some of the literates also, about the consequences of environmental pollution.

4)We've to arrest industry owners or ban the industry itself, if it pollutes any water or land resource of India.

5)We've to give better place to the people dwelling in slum areas.

6)We've to employ more people in cleaning work by giving incentives or raising the job income.

7)We've to use only bio-degradable and environmental friendly things like paper, and eliminate the use of polyethene bags, plastic bags etc.

8)There should be more of trash cans kept around the city, especially in public areas.

9)There should be more police spies and hidden cameras in order to track people who purposely litter places.

10)There should be more of companies like Neel Metal Falanca and our government has to encourage these kind of companies to come up.

11)There should be more of awareness programmes conducted in public areas, to make people aware of what pollution of environment really is.

By achieving these objectives, not only India, whole world would be clean.....

India and its people have made it their culture to be Dirty & messed up this great country-recently a friend brought some local papers for me to read and  even the Newspapers are a dirty brown, Ok they recycle paper but others do it too, they use bleach in their processing to make it acceptable so why cant they do the same in India?

Where ever you go I am told there is nothing  but filth , open  garbage boxes side by side with new Malls!

The people living there are not Proud of their cities or I feel  have  no self respect Or how can  they just shut their eyes to all this filth and move thru it day in  and  day out?

What is the point of using the  latest gadgets, Real expensive clothes go to outrageously expensive restaurants and  still Do nothing to make  their cities cleaner ? really SAD

You Indians don't even know about your own country do you?

The problem is CORRUPTION.  Of course they could clean the trains and railway stations. How much would it cost to clean the berth in 2nd sleeper? Very little, but they don't to even spend those few ruppees.

With high unemployment, what excuse is there for not hiring cleaners?

I had this same question when I visited India.  The country has the most beautiful, impeccably maintained landmarks contrasted by unbelievable squalor all around them.  By the looks of the situation, I don't think that people care too much about the environment and recycling when they are starving and living on the streets.  India is a very corrupt place where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.  I would say in order to address the problem, there should be a shake-up of government to ensure more equity.
