Question:

How can we keep groundhogs from eating our tomatoes?

....at least we're guessing it's groundhogs--whatever it is takes nips off the bottom of our tomatoes while they're on the vines.

I don't want to hurt the groundhogs. 'Have-a-heart' traps would be a never-ending battle. We have a dog but she's inside most of the time and we won't leave her outside at night (for one thing, she barks--neighbors wouldn't like it).

Any suggestions? Thanks!

  2. put chicken wire around the tomatoes.

  3. Sprinkle some pepper on the ground and on the tomato plants....should stop 'em
