Question:

How can we persuade a greengage tree to produce fruit?

Last year, to our surprise, a tree in our garden which had never produced anything but leaves, produced a magnificent crop of greengages. We looked forward to more this year, but alas, it seems to have reverted to being the same sterile tree as before. Is there anything we can do to encourage further crops?

  1. If you prune it down in the late fall or early spring it will encourage it to bear more and slightly larger as it grows.

  2. You could increase their nutrients with natural fertilizers such as horse manure.

Which will make them very healthy.

  3. Try singing to it.............. I Talk To The Trees.
