I hear people going nuts about global warming,

  1. who cares, we're not going to die or anything.


  2. Simply put, we can't.

    If it is natural, nature will take its course.

    If mankind has a significant influence, no country is doing much (except the U.S.) to reduce carbon emissions.  (You read right, all the promises made in Kyoto ... were mostly ignored by the signatories.)

    Given the choice, people would spend money, sometimes a lot, to turn up the global thermostat.  (When someone sells their home in Michigan, and moves to Florida for the hot weather, they have spent thousands of dollars.)

    Asking people to lower their standard of living a lot, and pay more taxes, for COLDER weather ... is a political non-starter.

  3. only thing for it, we need to sacrifice a few AGW campaigners to appease mother earth.

  4. stop using petrol and other petroproducts

  5. By stopping Kyoto meetings in bali where everone flies in on their private jets.

  6. Sorry you can't postpone it Climate change is already happening, and the any action now will not take effect for 50 years.

    You can try & mitigate any totally ctastrophic runaway effect though.

    Stop burning rubber, plastics and styrofoams!

    Stop the spread of CFCs or chlorofluorocarbons!

    Stop throwing garbage anywhere!

    Reuse and Recycle!

    Segregate your garbage!

    Plant more trees!

    Love the earth!

  8. Take less from the Earth/ground, and give more back.

    Eg: Dig up less fossil fuels, compost food separately from landfill. ('cos food in landfill biodegrades without oxygen, producing a greenhouse gas...)

  9. We can't.  The Earth warms .... or cools....in natural cycles.....PERIOD!!!  Al Gore has been told this on countless occasions, but he continues his search for 'ManBearPig'.  I'm wondering if maybe he was dropped when he was a baby!!??

  10. There is no man made global warming, so you can't postpone it.  But yeah, some people are gullible and go nuts over anything.
