  1. Throw the plastic from a 6-pack in the ocean

Include your lawn clippings with regular trash

Cruise all night in your SUV for no reason

Let the Freon out of an old style refrigerator

Change the oil in your SUV and trow it down the sewer

    Cut down healthy trees

Throw lit cigarettes out of the car window in a dry brushy area

Replace all of your CFL bulbs with old style incandescent bulbs

Burn lots of wood in your fireplace, if it gets too hot, tun the AC on

Go hunting and fishing and have the animals stuffed for display

Double bag my groceries with paper bags

Leave every light on in the entire house

  2. Come on!  You KNOW you WANT to MAKE everyone recycle by pointing a GUN to his or her head!  You want everyone to recylce under THREAT of DEATH!  Isn't this what you are claiming already, just that the DEATH won't be happening during THIS lifetime!  *laughter*

Admit it!  THAT is the first step to your recovery!  *laughter*

Probably, you're another smoker that likes to think the world is his ashtray!

  3. More councils in Britain are making people aware of recycling, in the North East, people can be fined for not putting the correct recycling material into their bins, we have a green bin for garden waste, no vegetable or fruit peel allowed! we have a green box for glass, and tins, we have a white sack for cardboard and plastics, and a blue plastic bag (ironic really) for newspapers and junk mail, all get picked up fortnightly by the council, the places I think need educating more are the larger countries of the world!

  4. Recycling is the last resort. We should all be minimising the amount of products / packaging we buy / use.

It angers me that most discussion is around recycling. Once it gets to this point the damage has already been done. It also shouldn't be the consumer that has most of the responsibility. The manufacturers of products should minimise the environmental impact of the products / packaging they produce before anything gets to the consumer.

Put the focus on the people putting the waste on the shelf in the first place. Not on the poor consumer who has to deal with it at the end.
