How can we preserve the monuments of india?

You would have to get your government to declare them Historical sites or something like that and then you can have blanket rules and laws to limit their exposure and also maintain them to keep them preserved.  This will take some funding and this can be both private and public funds.

This can be done, both on a National level and on Provincial level, heck even some small towns in America do it.

You should also make photographic records as monuments can sometimes be lost by forces beyond any one's control.  I have myself never been to India but have viewed many of the wonderful and colorful Hindi temples.  I guess looking at the photos can't compare to visting them, but for me it is really my only option and I am thankful for the photos to look at.
