  1. Shock it weekly.

  2. A filter

  3. You have to figure out what's making it cloudy. It could be the beginnings of an algae bloom or a problem with the pH and calcium level. The first step is to get a good test kit and measure your water. Once you have the test numbers it should be clear what to do next. The site below has many threads on possible causes and solutions.

  4. You need a good test kit. Keep your chemistry inline and you will be fine. Keep your FC at least 10% of your CYA. Ex Chemist has the right idea and has pointed you to the best swimming pool website out there. I to am a TFP member.

  5. Cleaning the filter often and keeping the water balanced will keep the water clear.

  6. test your pH to determine correct level of acid/alkaline, then you can add your chemicals (chorline/baking soda) to correct that pH level, then it should not be cloudy.

  7. More chemicals, shook and do not cover at night if it is 84 degrees. It helps!
