It may sound strange but a big thing is to stop eating, or cut back on meat. Cattle take up HUGE amounts of land, and lots of forests are cut down to provide this land for them. The soil is then leached of nutrients and over time becomes useless and the forest cannot grow back. Not to mention all the fertilizer that is used to grow their feed and how that pollutes the earth and all the fresh water used up. This is something everyone can personally do and it does make a difference!

And if you are concerned about the rainforest too, don't buy dark teak woods.
