  1. by changing their uniform

it should be like tennis players to draw attention of crowd

  2. Media should be publishing all its details & try to increase its popularity & it should be alwz telecasted on TV !

  3. By giving female cricketer's more coverage in the media. It disgusted me that when the England women retained the Ashes, the most I saw was half a page (half of it made up by a picture of the England women in their official outfits, no match action) and very little text about the match. England women are one of the best in the world, and yet Sky haven't given much coverage to them. They scored 310-3 at Lords, and then bowled South Africa out 85.

I'm a female cricketer myself, play for my village and have represented Suffolk (of all places, hardly known for its cricketing prowess) at an under-15 girl's level.

It'll take a long time for some people to put aside their stereotypical judgments of women's cricket. Of course it's going to be different from the men's game, that needs to be accepted, but it can still be played with the same intensity.

More media, especially TV, coverage. It'll help get more young females into the game, which can only be a good thing! :)

  4. By telecasting the game on TV for everyone to see... I travelled to Bowral NSW just to watch the aussies vs english, dont know why they had to play out there at the southern highlands while there are a lo of nice and big fields around sydney..

  5. That should come from the players itself. They should raise the level of performance. If there are more close matches where the excitement is high, people will just drop in to watch women's cricket in future. Most of women's cricket is one-sided and mainly bowler dominant. But people like to watch batting.

If there are players like Jayasuriya & Gilchrist who can hit the cricket ball a long way or players like Brett Lee who can bowl fast deliveries, spinners like Warne & Murali who can turn the ball, that'll change the perspective of Women's cricket.

It is time to change the idea 'cricket is gentleman's game', it is time to call it 'ladies' game' as well.
