  1. first and foremost, we should cut down greenhouse gas emmisions. We should also figure out how to balance out the earths resources to accomodate the ever growing population, as this leads up to emmiting greenhouse gases, then resulting in global warming then damaging the coral reefs.

I really think the government should also play its part, rather than rising interest rates and keeping australian troopers in Iraq and fussing over what tie to wear for work and actually DO SOMETHING. It really gets frustrating as I worry about this issue too.

maybe they can also offer rebates with less money to pay for the solar units, and use bio fuels.

    hope this answers your question

  2. its very difficult and expensive

if  the damage is because of  physical destruction such as a ship plowing into it ,

New coral can be grafted on top of damaged coral, by scuba divers

if it is because of contamination

the source of the damage must be stopped  first.

  3. From what I hear coral bleaching is a massive problem, and is caused by water temperatures rising.  To counter that we need to reduce the human component of that, which is greenhouse emissions.  As for natural heating and cooling cycles of the planet, there is nothing we can do about that.  I suspect that such natural cycles happen slowly enough (on the whole) to allow at least some adaption by the wildlife.

Otherwise, I agree with the other answers.
