First of all, to get the selfish reasons over with, I dont want the world to end when I finally turn eighteen....now for my worldly concerns, I dont want the poor little animals to die because of us humans.........know whats stupid? Al Gore is the spokeman for Global Warming, has 4 house that average 16,000% electric bills a year, has a private plane and a fleet of SUVs. All of this is a joke and theEarth has actually cooled 1 degree the last 10 years.

By 2012 only? Anyways the man has gone far away of his limits in distruting the environment. Now everyone has go too much habitual of comfortable life that we can not even thingk of without air conditioners, television, cooking gas, cars, etc. These all things utilize fuel made up of natural reosurces. So now it's a time of getting little less expensive and be more active.

Of course those things will not destroy the Earth. They only harm some of the people living on it. Between now and 2012 people will continue dealing with these problems as we always have, all the while trying to find even better ways of dealing with them. And after 2012 the same will be true.

wat do u do wen ur wahing ur hands/brushing/shaving n the flow of water from the tap is less?

u close the tap wen ur not using the water. open it only wen required. in a way u save the water when not in dire need of it ,to use it in future.

similarly for all other precious resources. turn off the tap/lights/fan when not in use.

use public transport/car pool/walk/ride a bicycle

Step one would be to recognize that Man is not God.   We don't have the capacity to destroy this planet.  About the only way this planet could be destroyed is for it to fall into the Sun, something that is beyond our ability to cause or prevent.

Once we recognize that, we'd realize that the planet will never notice our disappearance, and is largely unaware of our existence to begin with.  We're part of it, not the master of it. It'll be here when our species is long forgotten.

If we make it that far intellectually, we'll realize that the planet is not static, and we'll know enough to reject any "solution" that presumes that it is or even could be, and we will therefore not subject ourselves to government-ordered "solutions" that actually make it impossible for people to find or implement real solutions to the real problems.

To answer the question, we really can't save the earth, and it doesn't need saving.  We might need saving, and we might or might not accomplish that, but it won't be done under orders from the government.
