How can we save "Bushmeat" animals?

Bushmeat is defined as wild African animals, such as Gorillas and other primates. It offends me that Africans and wild game hunters are decimating these treasures. What can we do about this? I live in Topeka, Kansas.

Very little, though I agree it is tragic.

I think it is important to undertstand though that wildlife conservation as we know it is a very western thing.  It is all very well for us to sit in our armchairs and tell others what they can and can't do, especially after we have felled most of our forests and made the majority of our big game extinct.

Send your money to poor hungry Africans so they can buy some food.

You'd eat primates too if you had to choose between that and starving.
