  1. Demand that all lobbyist be barred from any bldg. that Congress does business in----also term limits for all members of Congress

  2. Too late.http://www.rense.com/general81/extr.htm

  3. However - quis custodiet ipsos custodies??

    Translation please ....

    anyhow, I have this theory

IF a LOT of people contacted their elected Representatives

We may really get some action.

I call the Capital Switchboard OFTEN and I never get a busy signal.  (1-202-224-3121 )

Lets flood the system with calls, faxes, emails, whatever

Make Congress aware that we are NOT asleep out here, that AMERICA is awake and watching.

    Read the Congressional Record on-line

    Lets Roll!

  4. Term limits would be good. Electing the same Senator or Representative for years on end is bound to cause more corruption.

Putting George W. Bush and d**k Cheney in prison for the rest of their lives would sent a message that we truly are a nation of laws and all criminals no matter who have to pay for their crimes.

  5. For a start, it means forming a new party, and keeping business, and the rich, rigorously out.

But -remember - you will be up against the US Empire, the Murdoch empire and the rest of the owners of the media, the existing political caste, etc.  On achieving power, in a generation or so, you will need to expropriate and arrest all of these b******s that remain within your reach, put them on trial, and send them down for a long, long stretch.

However, we are numerous - we are the other 95%.

However - quis custodiet ipsos custodies?? (for Americans, that's  'who will guard the guards?')

  6. The standard answer would be to elect more responsible people to government.  The problem is that either the local candidates are 'corrupt' to begin with, having taken money from all sorts of 'special interest groups' in order to be elected, or once they enter politics, there is so much 'easy' money to be made, and they can't resist the temptation.

There are a lot of honest politicians, but there's an old saying.... does power corrupt? absolutely.  And absolute power corrupts absolutely.

So to answer your question,  I would think that voters must be really careful who they elect at all levels of government, because if they are honest at first, chances are that they will stay that way.  The voter must follow the candidate's career to see if he has been involved in corruption or surrounds himself with questionable associates.  We just can't continue voting for the guy with the nicest suit, smoothest talk, or best hair.

  7. WE THE PEOPLE have allowed it for so long that it'll be just about impossible to stop at this stage.

It's corrupt from local levels thru state and into federal.
