Basically, Religion has been the leading educators of people and all leaders of government is in one way or another was educated in different religious communities. People always tend to look on how their religious leaders would react on a given situation as what is happening here in the Philippines. Churches address "change" to start in each individual but what they don't notice is that people tend to follow their ways. Catholic schools were built thru donations of people and we can see that they are the most expensive and discreet corruption is being witness by their students or parents on the way on how it is run by the nuns or priest in-charge. Money making ideas escape the wisdom of the leaders that they tolerate teachers to create fund raising campaigns that parents are forced to accept on the premise that it would endanger their childrens education should they protest the corrupt practices. Unless the leaders of our churches change their ways, corruption would never be resolved.

  1. there is a separation of the church and state. the church must not interfere in running the government. the government does not interfere in running the church. read and spread the words of God

  2. Corruption is everywhere in the Philippines. That is a reality. The question is where you start to make that change. I say start small. Stop peeing everywhere, stop handing bribes over to MMDs when you get pulled over, question your church when they build multi-million pesos homes for the priests while their neighbors are sleeping on cardboard boxes...so many little things.

  3. Religious leaders you say?...Off with their heads.

  4. The church is not the only problem.

It's all up to the individual.

But in a society that's as cliquish as ours, it'll be hard to bring about change, with the stupid herd mentality of certain sectors.

Unless everyone is willing to get involved to bring about change, nothing will ever happen. And I'm not talking about another People Power revolution. We all know how effective that was..
