  1. I work in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska.  This is Polar Bear country.  In my experience, no one who is on land leased for exploration is permitted to hunt polar bears or anything else since weapons are not permitted there.  The only ones who hunt polar bears to my knowledge are the indigenous peoples of the area.  Since this has been part of their subsistence for centuries, I seriously doubt they are harming them more now than in the past.  Polar Bears like other predator animals, have times when conditions are not ideal and they don't do as well.  It's all part of the cycle of life.  When hunting is more difficult, the seals and other sea animals which make up their diet increase their numbers leading to better times for the bears in the future.  In my opinion, this is nothing more than a scare tactic by certain radical environmental groups to try to restrict oil exploration.  The bears will be fine.

  2. If we knew that then they wouldn't be endangered

  3. Just stop listening that Al Gore scam and bears will be fine

  4. thanx for taking notice-- atleast sumone did. one thing to do is STOP HUNTING THEM or another is to REDUCE YOUR CARBON FOOTPRINT to save their homes from melting. DONATE to your local wildlife organization. i love polar bears who will save them..........HELP SAVE THE POLAR BEARS

  5. Polar Bears have been around for millions of years. They have survived  thousands of the natural heating and cooling cycles the Earth naturally goes through, as well as hundreds of ice ages.

Don't worry about them. They will be here long after humans are gone.

  6. Polar bears are not endangered. They have been listed as threatened because of global warming. That is a step away from being endangered.

First, the nay-sayers claimed that there was no global warming. Then they said that there was, but it was all natural. Then they said that it wasn't all natural but that anthropogenic global warming made no difference. Now the story is that we can't do enough to do anything about it. It would be nice if they could come to their senses before melting arctic ice release all the methane hydrate that is locked up there. By then, it might well be to late. Anyone for building an ark?

  7. hunt them to extinction, actually there are thousands of Polar Bears, they are not endangered, they endanger of being endangered if the planet warms up more, Polar Bears eat during the wintertime they walk on the Ice and hunt seals through the seals breathing hole in the ice, if there is not ice in the wintertime they will starve because they barely eat anything in the warm summer months

  8. You lot go on about polar bears. What about the poor whale?   No one goes on about them anymore............. Sorry i forgot their out of fashion......

  9. just leave them alone

  10. we can help by doing our bit to reduce global warming which is shrinking their habitat

also making other people aware of the fact

  11. We could have "national don't use your car day!"

BUT no one would do that and it wouldent do much I LOVE POLAR BEARS!
