How can we stop these trolls who report answers because "it's not a question or answer" when it clearly is?

Because they can't take the other's opinions? 4 of my questions were reported yesterday, all of which were questions and had gained many answers, all of a sudden they've just been been deleated.

  1. Wish I knew hon - it's nothing to do with the question, and everything to do with snidey people who can't think of a good answer so don't want anyone else to talk about it.  Happens to us all I'm afraid :-)

  2. It happened to me twice just now. I think someone's out to get us all. We should just throw in a "yes" or "no" at the beginning of every answer, even if it doesn't need one.

  3. Oh, I can't tell you how many times this has happened to me. Don't feel alone.  It happens to most of us.  I've appealed to Yahoo that it clearly is a question, but they turn down all appeals automatically. The system is a joke.

  4. I posted a similar question earlier. Fully expect this one to get reported and deleted as well.

I think they should give reporting as a privilege to say level 3 or 4 and up. Most trolls are level 1 or 2 and have multiple accounts like that. Just doing away with the report button would be good too. Then we'd just have to thumb down a persons answer so we don't have to see it.

Or you could just insult them. It's not necessarily prudent but it is fun to do when you're frustrated and you don't feel as badly because they are trolls.

  5. 2 of mine were reported today...

it gives me a sense of pride....of accomplishment that i annoyed someone that much!

( put fists on hips and sticks out chest)

  6. I know exactly what you mean.  I've been on yahoo answers for YEARS, and have only received a handful of violations.  But within the last week I have been slapped with 3 "non answer" citations.

I'd like to know who exactly reports me.  Yahoo should instate a policy that if the same person is the one doing the reporting, it's probably a malicious or vindictive attack on the reporter's part.  Bounce the reporter.

  7. The "report it" function should just disappear altogether..

  8. The Dude abides.

  9. I cannot agree with you more...you are absolutely right...I've had my answers deleted that were answered up to 6 months ago...because someone didn't like my answer..

check your fans...and delete those ones who you did not invite, chances are they are following you to stalk and report you.  just block the weirdos.

  10. Your very nick is a troll.

I looked at your questions. Some of them needed reporting.

    Consider it done.

  11. go to  www.iampissed.com it is a great site to rant and rave about anything and you wont be reported

  12. That sounds like a Yahoo delete, not a report.

Did your e-mail say specifically they'd been reported?  If not then Yahoo removed them.

  13. I remember one of your questions, I thought it was interesting. Shame, welcome to GWS, land of over-sensitized crazies!!

Guns is right, getting rid of the 'report it' button is a good start.

You can try to appeal it.

  14. I hear ya'!

(this will probably be deleted because I am Proud Stepford Wife and they all hate me)

  15. Perhaps these "trolls" did not care for your chosen name. Some think your name is funny while others think it is annoying to them. Also it depends how you put your questions or answers.

  16. I know what you mean. Last time the question was not clear to me hence I simply wrote that "what exactly your question" and apparently somebody reported that.

  17. It sounds to me like they just want something to bi*ch about.

  18. Been wondering the same.  It's as though the yahoo admins don't even bother to check if it really was a question or not.  They just up and delete it with no verification.  Very poor form.

  19. what were your questions about?  Might have something to do with why they were reported.
